Seven Cloverdale High School graduates gathered in the Plaza on Aug. 5 to receive mini-grants as part of Cloverdale's prolonged César Chávez celebration. 

Cloverdale Mayor Marta Cruz, who helped plan the city's César Chávez activities earlier this year, said that she hopes they can continue to grow the mini-grant funds in the future, allowing them to be awarded to future high school graduates as well.
