Teachers and staff from Jefferson Elementary School drove through Cloverdale on Wednesday, June 9, waving to students along a parade route to send them off into summer.

The theme of the parade was the wild west, thought up by Jefferson's student council. The tradition of having an end-of-year parade began last year while students were all in distance learning. While most kids went back to school for in-person learning earlier this year, that didn't stop them from heading out to sidewalks in downtown Cloverdale and on Foothill Boulevard to hold up signs and wave to their teachers.
