Healdsburg community members came out to the Healdsburg Community Center on Saturday morning, Sept. 25, to partake in the Foss Creek cleanup, an annual event that’s typically held around creek cleanup week.

Donning gloves and sturdy shoes, groups of participants ventured out along the Foss Creek pathway and old train tracks in order to clean up trash such as old facial masks, chip bags and milk cartons.

Some of the more interesting trash finds include chairs, bikes, wheels, tires and an old vacuum cleaner.

This was the city’s first creek cleanup in over a year since the 2020 event was canceled due to COVID-19.
